During Sunday’s winter finale, Anna (Elizabeth Lail), Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) finally went back to Arendelle, but not before Anna tipped the heroes off to Rumple’s (Robert Carlyle) more nefarious ways. Fortunately, Belle (Emily de Ravin) was able to prevent her hubby from killing Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and sent Rumple across the town line—which means he can’t return due to the Snow Queen’s spell.

What can you tease about the next chapter for Hook and Emma?
HOROWITZ: I think Emma is understanding that Rumple had his heart. The next chapter for the two of them will be about where does their relationship go from here? And how do the new personal obstacles that we’ll see unfold for them in the second half of the season either aid or abet that relationship?

Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) was under Rumple’s control for the last few episodes, and was forced to tell some lies. Will there be fallout from that, or does everyone understand he had no say in the matter?
Kitsis: I think he kind of has a pass on that. He’s tried really hard to do the right thing, and we’re excited: we’re going to get more into his backstory in the second half. And what’s fun is he and Emma are [now] a couple, so we’re going to watch them grow.

Just wanted to post this because Colin deserve the credit in this article, he really is one of Ireland’s best exports.

Colin O’Donghue has to be one of our best ever exports.

Not only does he act well, but he looks like a star and I spotted him on hit TV show Good Day LA recently and what a commanding and comfortable individual he is.

One of the most unusual and popular shows on TV, certainly in the US, is ‘Once Upon a Time, and he made the role of Captain Killian “Hook” Jones his own while he has also starred alongside Anthony Hopkins in The Rite.

Now 33, he’s coming into his own as an actor of real note.

‘Once Upon a Time’ is launching season 4 inside the next few days, so Colin has been pretty busy on the promotional end of things.

If you’ve never seen the show, Killian Jones lived the life of a pirate and fell in love with a beautiful woman named Milah and the two of them sailed off together, leaving her cowardly husband, Rumplestiltskin, and her young son, Baelfire, behind.

When Killian and Milah returned, Rumple had become The Dark One and he took out his anger by murdering his estranged wife and cutting off Killian’s hand. From then on, Killian took the name Captain Hook and swore to take his revenge on Rumplestiltskin.

What this season brings will be interesting!

Colin is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin and a decade ago won the Irish Film and Television Award for Best New Talent for his role as Norman in the made for TV movie Home for Christmas. Soon after, he had stints on Proof, Fair City and then The Tudors, as Duke Philip of Bavaria.

He made great music with The Enemies, before heading to live the dream in Hollywood.

He currently lives in Vancouver.

I think it’s a matter of time before Colin lands the big role that will make him as famous as the other Colin!

Who’s the biggest prankster on set?

There’s so much to do in a day there’s not a lot of breaks. There was one game Mikey, Josh and Colin were playing where they tried to crack each other up in takes. Ginny and I were staying out of it. It seemed like there was big money involved.

Colin Farrell just makes in into the top 10 of Irish actors, while the relatively unknown Louth actor, Colin O’Donoghue, is ranked 11th due to his starring role in one of America’s biggest shows – the ABC hit drama Once Upon A Time.

The fairytale drama — starring O’Donoghue as Hook — regularly pulls in more than 8m viewers Stateside.

3. Captain Hook, Once Upon a Time (ABC)

Once Upon a Time: Emma, Hook (ABC)

Actor: Colin O’Donoghue
The story: The legendary villain of J. M. Barrie’s classic Peter Pan, Hook is reimagined here as something of a hopeless romantic, with a rich backstory, a rather active love life and ongoing adventures with the fairy tale inhabitants of Storybrooke.

Here’s the part where Colin’s amazing acting skills are mentioned.

That said, the Neverland arc dragged on far too long. Watching the Storybrooke heroes tramp around the jungle got boring. However, the time spent hunting Peter Pan gave them a chance to develop and to grow together. We learned that Hook’s interactions with Emma were more than innocent flirtations, and we saw him continue to change. He assisted Charming with no real ulterior motives and was honest with Emma about Neal. Colin O’Donoghue got more to do this season, and he delivered across the board.
