2. Colin O’Donoghue
You might remember him as the ridiculously talented musician Amy Huberman’s Daisy fell head over heels for in The Clinic, and now Colin O’Donoghue is charming the ladies on the other side of the Atlantic.
The Drogheda native plays a roguish Captain Hook aka Killian Jones on ABC’s fairytale drama Once Upon A Time. He was originally slated to star in just a few episodes, but the character was so well received that they decided to keep him on board.
Funnily enough, O’Donoghue was actually awarded the very first IFTA for Best New Talent at the inaugural ceremony back in 2003. Not a bad bet, eh?

Neal mentioned the message that Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) got. Is there a chance he sent the message?
Kitsis: There’s always a chance for everything on this show.
Speaking of fathers, might we meet Hook’s father?
Horowitz: Not this year.
Will we ever find out what kingdom sent Hook and his brother Liam (Bernard Curry) in search of Dreamshade?
Kitsis: Probably not.

Thanks to Sarah for sending it to us.
HOW DID HOOK MANAGE TO CROSS REALMS? WHO SENT HIM THE MESSAGE THAT EMMA’S FAMILY WAS IN TROUBLE? AND WHO SUPPLIED THE MEMORY POTION?
At the time I spoke to Colin O’Donoghue on set (during the filming of Episode 18), he said those mysteries had yet to be addressed. But before Season 3 closes, an entire episode will solve those riddles and more — including the possibility that whomever cast the new curse wanted the pirate to seek out Emma. “It could be a trap,” Eddy Kitsis allows. “[The message] could also have been sent from somebody different than who he thought.”
WILL HOOK EVER CHANGE CLOTHES?
After all, Henry spoke for many by commenting on his “new” friend’s odd garb. “That is a question you have to ask Eddy and Adam, because they will not let Colin [O’Donoghue] change his clothes,” Jennifer Morrison shares with a laugh. Save for any flashback to his kinder, Killian days, “They are very confident that Colin needs to always be dressed as Hook,” she continues, “so we’ve decided that he’s really good at laundry.”

It could be a spoiler, kind of, not really, but I’ll post it under the cut just to be sure.

“Once Upon a Time” returns Sunday night, and Colin O’Donoghue’s Captain Hook looks to play his part in helping overthrow the newest villain to threaten the Enchanted Forest.
At the midseason finale, Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) was vanquished by Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), at the cost of his own life (for now). Pan’s machinations led to all of the characters from the Enchanted Forest having to return, while Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and her son Henry (Jared Gilmore), had their memories wiped and settled down in New York. It’s here where Hook comes in. Show Tracker caught up to O’Donoghue and asked him about the coming season, about playing a lovable scoundrel and about the translation of Captain Hook by “OUAT.”
