How is Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) dealing after Emma finally said she loves him and then became the Dark One and disappeared?

KITSIS: We’re picking up with him in a state of, “I’ve come too far to not be happy now.” He’s going to go and save Emma come hell or high water.

“Happily ever after” has never been further out of reach. When Once Upon a Time—ABC’s fantasy series about fairy-tale characters—unveils its marketing campaign for Season 5 at Comic-Con, viewers’ worst fear will be confirmed: Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), aka the Savior, is poised to become the show’s scariest baddie yet. “As formidable as Emma was as a hero, she’s going to be exponentially more dangerous as a villain,” promises executive producer Adam Horowitz. Fellow executive producer Edward Kitsis adds with a laugh, “I hope our fanbase reacts well—it seems like a large segment is very worried!”

And with good reason. The September 27 premiere, titled “The Dark Swan,” will pick up moments after last May’s finale left off, as Emma allowed the evil spirits that were released from Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) to enter her body and transform her into the new Dark One. “The first thing Emma wants to do is get the darkness out,” Kitsis says. “But will she be able to resist taking a bite of the forbidden apple?”

Uh, that’d be a no, meaning that Emma’s nearest and dearest—including her son Henry (Jared Gilmore), true love Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and enemy-turned-ally Regina (Lana Parrilla)— will be tasked with finding the mysterious sorcerer Merlin, the only one capable of breaking the curse. Hint: The gang should set their GPS for the Camelot of Arthurian legend—and be prepared to encounter some of its famed residents along the way. (Think King Arthur, Princess Guinevere, Sir Lancelot and the Knights of the Round Table.) “We’re excited to put our twist on these classic characters,” Kitsis says. “We love the origin stories!”

Ahead of its session at the San Diego Comic Con 2015, which will be held on Saturday, 11 July, from 10-10.45 am, “Once Upon a Time” fans have got some updates on season 5 through the cast and crew of the ABC fairy tale series.

One of the major scoops on the upcoming sequel is the revelation of the premiere title: “The Dark Swan”. The caption was revealed by composer Mark Isham on Instagram.

However, he immediately deleted it, according to Spoiler TV.

Another major update on the series is about the various challenges that Jennifer Morrison will be facing as dark swan. Co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis partly reveal details about the the character.

“Every part of her is fighting her dark urges,” said executive producer Edward Kitsis, adding,”What happens when [the darkness] mixes with the lightest magic of all, and will Emma have the strength to fight it?”

“How a Dark One manifests is specific to each person who takes on the mantle. Emma will have her own unique spin on what it means to be a Dark One,” said Adam Horowitz.

Horowitz also stated that they are planning to explore the romantic relationship between Emma and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) in the upcoming sequel.

“We are going to be exploring love and what happens when you use it as a weapon and what are the things that it makes you do. In the past, we’ve said love is the most powerful magic of all. It makes you do many things you normally wouldn’t think you would,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, followers of the show will be getting a glimpse of the upcoming sequel through an exclusive sneak peek during the international convention.

The comic con panel will be attended by Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle, Josh Dallas, Colin O’Donoghue, Emilie de Ravin, Rebecca Mader and Sean Maguire along with executive producers Horowitz and Kitsis.

The creative team will not just interact with fans during the Q&A session, but will also discuss the various elements, including evolving characters, unexpected twists as well as new rivalries and adventures that will make “Once Upon a Time” season 5 interesting.

It’s time for our last Romance Rundown of the season!

With Once Upon a Time’s epic two-hour season finale just a few days away, it’s time to get the inside scoop on what’s next for all of your Storybrooke sweethearts.

Once again, we at ETonline chatted with OUAT’s executive producers Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis to find out what’s in store for Captain Swan, Rumbelle, Outlaw Queen and Snowing in this Sunday’s season four finale.

Plus, could another “true love’s kiss” be headed our way? Read on to find out more about a “hot” hook-up coming in this week’s episode…

Captain Swan: Emma and Killian (Colin O’Donoghue) have shared some pretty sweet moments this season, and although we’re not sure if they’ll share a coffee date by the end of Sunday’s finale, we do know that we’re in for some major relationship revelations.

“Captain Swan are going to be tested like always,” Kitsis confessed. “And we are going to get an emotional truth about them.”

Could that “emotional truth” be a true love’s kiss?! We asked the EPs if we can expect a spell-binding smooch from one of our couples in this weekend’s finale, and they were very coy with the who in their answers.

“There’s some kissing action going on in the finale,” Horowitz promised. “What it does and how it works may not be as we’ve seen before, but there’s definitely some kissing action.”

Kitsis continued, “Are we going to get a true loves kiss that break a curse? No. Is there kissing in the finale? I believe there is. There’s always some kissing, and whether or not it’s going to break a curse with true love, it’ll be hot nonetheless.”

Now that the Author (Patrick Fishler) is free to write whatever story he wants on “Once Upon a Time,” everyone has the potential to go from hero to villain and vice versa. That stands especially true for Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as her darkness is what fuels the Author’s quill.

What would Emma’s dark side mean for her relationship with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) though? With the Savior battling her potential for darkness for half of the season, Zap2it asked the “Once” creators Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz what’s in store for Emma and the pirate.

“We’ve seen some big moments in their relationship, nd we have some highly emotional moments planned for the two of them for the rest of this season,” Horowitz teases.

Those emotional moments will apparently come with a big reveal from Emma.

“We are going to get some real insight into Emma and how she really feels about Hook and what she really thinks. We’re excited about that,” Kitsis adds.

How will that affect her relationship with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue)?
Oh, it will affect her relationship with everybody.

Let it be known that Captain Hook is in it to win it.
Once Upon a Time’s leading man Colin O’Donoghue is currently battling Outlander’s Sam Heughan in the final round of our Alpha Male Madness tournament, and the competition is getting fierce, with both actors playing up the showdown on Twitter. And it sounds like Heughan better watch out! “Colin is probably the most competitive person I know. Literally, the most competitive person I know,” OUAT showrunner Eddy Kitsis tells E! News of the tournament.
But even Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are getting in on the fun, asking the ABC hit’s fandom to bring home the win for TV’s hottest pirate.
“Oncers unite!” Horowitz says, while Kitsis ads, “Oncers unite to show how strong you are, because that’s what it really comes down to. It’s fandom vs. fandom, and I know Once has the best and this is the opportunity to show that.”
Gauntlet, meet floor!

It sure sounds like Hook could use a win right now, seeing as his relationship with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) may be hitting a bit of a rough patch as her dark side continues to come out to play. So will Emma’s descent into darkness mean the end of her relationship with Hook, who was a villain himself not so long ago?
“Well, I think that it what he is trying to say to her. He’s often tried to share with her, which is the advice he had, that you don’t start off wanting to be a villain, but you convince yourself you’re doing it for the right reasons,” Kitsis says. “And if you notice that his reaction toward her is that he understands the allure of the dark side and he wants to protect her from it. I think he is understanding and I think he’s concerned she’ll fall victim to it much more than he’s morally concerned.”
And while they wouldn’t say if we’ve seen Emma’s darkest move yet, Kitsis ominously previews, “I will tell you it’s not been settled.”
