We know that many Once Upon a Time fans are currently counting down the seconds until Hook and Emma tie the knot in the upcoming musical extravaganza. (FYI, it’s only 1,209,600 seconds away.) So we’ve got something that is going to curb your Captain Swan cravings!

ET has your first look photo of Hook looking oh-so dashing in his wedding tux, plus exclusive details from set about how this velvet suit was selected, and why fans are going to be “very happy” with Emma and Killian’s journey down the aisle.

“I think I can probably credit [Once Upon a Time showrunner] Eddy [Kitsis] for this look,” star Colin O’Donoghue dished of his suit to ET during a joint interview with Jennifer Morrison on Once’s Vancouver set last month. “We were going to go in a different direction and Eddy was like, ‘It has to be black velvet!’ So that’s it — it’s black velvet.”

“It’s really soft though,” the 36-year-old actor added with a laugh.

Kitsis further explained to ET that he and co-executive producer Adam Horowitz had a very specific vision in mind when it came to Hook’s look.

“Adam and I both thought that Hook needed to have a tux that reflects his personality, so you can’t go from leather to just a basic tux,” he revealed. “We felt like he had to have a little edge to it so the velvet felt like the Hook-version of fancy.”

When asked if he feels “suave” in his wedding attire, O’Donoghue was bashful with his response. “I guess so,” he chuckled. “I hope it looks OK.”

“You look amazing!” co-star Jennifer Morrison chimed in while looking dazzling herself in her intricately laced wedding gown. “He’s been getting a little jealous about all of the attention the dress has been getting, so I’m trying to butter him up a little bit about his velvet jacket.”

While Morrison hopes that “brains explode” when Captain Swan fans finally witness Emma and Killian’s vows to one another, O’Donoghue was a bit more sentimental with his predictions.

“I think that they’ll be very happy,” he said. “Because even to get to this point in this season, they’ve had such ups and downs. So to get to this place, within the realm of what’s about to happen to them and all that kind of stuff, is pretty impressive.”

O’Donoghue continued, “They’ve just decided that, ‘You know what? We love each other, we want to be together and now is the time to do it.'”

This interview also contains spoilers, DO NOT read if you want to avoid being spoiled!

Wedding bells will soon be ringing — and the residents of Storybrooke will also be singing — during Once Upon a Time‘s highly anticipated musical episode.

At the close of Sunday’s episode, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) was able to rescue Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) from Neverland, so he promptly and properly proposed. EW can, therefore, reveal that Emma and Hook are really getting married, which is the basis of the May 7 musical hour!

“When we started talking about the musical, we wanted it to be a special episode,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “We thought Emma’s wedding felt like the natural milestone for us.”

Adds executive producer Adam Horowitz: “It felt like the right place. Hopefully, when you see how the device works within the episode and how it relates to Emma and her character journey, it all seems to make sense that it would lead up to this. It worked on both a plot and character level, and it allowed us the fun of actually doing a musical episode.”

Stay tuned for much more news about Emma and Hook’s wedding, as well as why the residents of Storybrooke will be breaking into song! In the meantime, read our postmortem with Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas about that heartbreaking Snow and Charming reveal here.

This interview contains spoilers, so don’t read it if you tend to avoid them.

We at ET are thrilled to confirm that Once Upon a Time’s highly anticipated musical extravaganza — which will air Sunday, May 7 — will also be the episode in which Emma Swan and Killian Jones get married.

(We’re just going to pause here for a second to let that glorious news sink in and for the subsequent screams of excitement die down. All good? Great! Now take another deep breath and keep reading…)

ET had the pleasure of visiting Once Upon a Time’s set in Vancouver, Canada, last month during filming of the musical matrimony, and we asked the star-studded cast what their initial reaction was after discovering that Emma and Hook would be tying the knot in season six’s penultimate episode.

“I thought it was perfect,” Jennifer Morrison gushed to ET during a joint interview with co-star Colin O’Donoghue. “We just felt, like, what better way to make it feel extra special than to have [the wedding] also be the musical episode?”

From recording the original songs, to learning the choreography and finding the inspiration for her wedding gown, (more on that later!) Morrison revealed that working on the musical episode has been a career highlight.

“It’s been so fun!” the 38-year-old actress exclaimed. “I mean, I feel like I just keep repeating myself: It’s just so fun! it’s just so fun!”

“You’re going to have a whole article of Jennifer saying, ‘It’s just so fun!’ over and over again,” O’Donoghue said with a laugh.

When asked how they would tease the episode for the fans, the actors were quick to cut to the chase.

“It’s a musical episode where Hook and Emma…” Morrison began thoughtfully.

“Get married!” O’Donoghue chimed in with a smirk. “Teased! Boom!”

“Oh wait, you mean without a spoiler? Umm, but it’s a spoiler, on top of a spoiler, wrapped in a spoiler!” Morrison dished. “Hook and Emma find themselves on a brand new adventure that changes the rest of their lives. Wait, that’s not good. Hmm, OK. Hook and Emma follow through on a critical decision…”

“With music, and dance, and some mighty fine romance!” O’Donoghue added.

Although we’re not going to reveal any specific episode details at this time, we can tell you that Morrison and O’Donoghue are well aware that Captain Swan fans are going to completely lose it when they see Emma and Killian’s wedding.

“I hope their brains explode!” Morrison giggled playfully. “I mean, I hope they enjoy it as much as we have. It’s been so fun. I just said it again!”

Listen up, Oncers! How will Hook react to the Black Fairy on Once Upon a Time? — Kendall

Well, that depends on whether Hook makes it back to Storybrooke (shhh, he totally makes it back to Storybrooke). “She is essentially the ultimate evil,” Colin O’Donoghue says. “She’s as bad as it gets, as bad as we’ve seen on Once Upon a Time. Hook is slightly unaware of some of that because he’s been gone. What Hook is most worried about is the Final Battle and what’s going to happen with Emma, because as is, she foresaw her death. That’s the woman that he loves, and we’re very close to that [happening], so it’s more about trying to figure out how he can get back to help her to try and figure out a way of stopping it.” Here’s a BONUS SCOOP about Sunday’s episode from Ginnifer Goodwin: “The backstory that we learn in that episode is also fairly heartbreaking and focuses a lot on the sacrifices that we make for the family as we discover that the Charmings may have had an opportunity to reunite with Emma long before they did.”

Captain Hook trades some problematic Lost Boys for a most formidable young woman, in this exclusive sneak peek from Sunday’s episode of ABC’s Once Upon a Time.

When last we tuned in, Blackbeard had left Hook (played by Colin O’Donoghue) to fend for himself after they unwittingly realm-hopped to not Storybrooke but Neverland. There, the Lost Boys give chase after Hook, determined to make him pay for what happened to their leader, Peter Pan.

Press play above to see how Tiger Lily (Native American actress Sara Tomko) inserts herself into the conflict, and why.

Describing Hook’s apparently prickly past with the Native American princess, Once co-creator Eddy Kitsis assures TVLine, “It wasn’t romantic,” noting: “If he worked for Pan, and she clearly doesn’t like Pan, she doesn’t like Hook either!”

Elsewhere in the episode, titled “Awake” and airing Sunday at 8/7c: Regina works to break the Charmings’ sleeping curse while Rumple and his mother, The Black Fairy, arrive at a fearsome impasse. In flashbacks, we learn what Snow and David sacrificed in order for Emma to fulfill her destiny as the Savior.
