A sweet life in Manhattan: Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) have settled into their lives in the Big Apple rather comfortably, but Hook’s (Colin O’Donoghue) sudden re-entry into their lives — though they aren’t aware of the past history — puts a wrench in their plans. Covert Affairs‘ Christopher Gorham plays an integral part in Emma and Henry’s story and serves as a catalyst of sorts. (Fun fact: Gorham, Kitsis and Horowitz worked together on The WB’s Popular.)
Hook goes up against another foe: In an upcoming episode, Hook will meet yet another nemesis, this time in Blackbeard (Charles Mesure). “He is a pirate through and through, and he and Captain Hook do not have a love for each other, and the only thing two pirates will fight over — even more than a woman — would be a ship,” Kitsis hints.
Once Upon a Time returns in just over two weeks on March 9 with season 3, episode 12 “New York Serenade” and you definitely don’t want to miss it.
Having seen the episode today, we’re here to share a few spoiler free teasers from the episode that you will not only love, but will keep you guessing until March 9.
The synopsis for “New York Serenade” reads: “After Rumplestiltskin sacrificed his life to stop Pan from enacting another curse, Regina obliterated her original curse, which erased Storybrooke from existence and whisked its residents back to Fairy Tale Land – leaving Emma and Henry back in our world with no memories of Storybrooke. But all is not well back in the Enchanted Forest when Hook comes calling on Emma in New York City in an attempt to jog her memory so that she can once again help her fairy tale family and friends out of a desperate situation.”
The episode was written by the show’s creators, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and something wicked has definitely come to the Enchanted Forest alright.
Here are a few teasers we gathered as we watched:
This is one episode of Once Upon a Time that you won’t want to miss! Potions, romance and wickedness combine to make one of hell of an episode.

In a new interview with Adam and Eddy, the creators of Once Upon a Time, Colin’s character Hook is mentioned a few times:
Diane: How about Hook and that kiss! Of course fans are dying to know: Why is Hook at Emma’s doorstep and not Neal?
Adam: If you watch you’ll see why!
Eddy: All of those answers will be explained in the next 11 episodes!
Diane: But can you answer that we’ll see Hook’s character grow more?
Adam: We sure hope so—he’s not going anywhere.
Diane: Beyond love and revenge? But what about Neal? Is his character going to evolve or will he take a back seat?
Diane: And on another note: Will Hook ever get a costume change?
Adam: Eventually, but we love it. Do you really want to see him in street clothes?
Diane: In jeans and flannel?
Adam: Yeah, exactly.
Diane: I don’t, but fans have been asking about a future costume change. Although there are people who would pay good money to have that leather outfit of his.
Spoiler time! Adam tweeted the title of episode 3×17. I’m guessing it will have A LOT of Colin in it. We like!!
“I was in the Droichead Youth Theatre when I was younger and was in it with such people as actor Colin O’Donoghue who has done so well. I love acting and comedy and moved to London to try and pursue a career,” said Yasmine, who is a former student of St Oliver’s CC.
